Molly Wood

Professor Molly Wood is a Professor of History at Wittenberg University, where she has taught since 1999. She specializes in U.S. foreign relations, international studies, modern world history, women’s history, and Latin American history. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina, a master’s from the University of Richmond, and a bachelor’s from the University of Virginia.

Her research interests focus on diplomatic history, teaching methodologies, and women’s contributions to global affairs. She has published in Diplomatic History and The Journal of Women’s History.

Professor Wood is co-chair of the SHAFR Teaching Committee, a role she has held for three terms, and director of Wittenberg’s Honors Program. She has received accolades for her teaching, including the Edith B. & Frank C. Matthies Teaching Grant, and was honored with the Ohio Academy of History’s Distinguished Service Award in 2015.
