Moises Cordeiro Costas

Moises Cordeiro Costas serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the School of Industrial Engineering, University of Vigo. He is actively affiliated with the Research Center in Technologies, Energy and Industrial Processes and the Energy Technology Group (EM1 GTE) on the Vigo campus.

Education:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vigo (2023). Thesis: "Modeling and optimization using machine learning techniques in buildings with renewable production, storage and electrical consumption", supervised by Dr. Pablo Eguía Oller and Dr. Daniel Villanueva Torres.

His research centers on machine learning applications for optimizing renewable energy integration in building systems, with emphasis on storage dynamics and electrical consumption modeling. This work bridges electrical engineering and sustainable energy management, targeting efficiency improvements in smart building infrastructures through data-driven optimization techniques.
