Mohammad Sarwar

Mohammad Sarwar, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. He has held academic and administrative roles at institutions including the University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston), Yale School of Medicine, and the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His career spans diverse leadership positions, including Director of Neuroradiology and Chief of Radiology roles across multiple institutions.

Dr. Sarwar specializes in neuroradiology with a focus on neuroembryology. He has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed articles, nine textbook chapters, and three books, including CT of Congenital Brain Malformation. His professional memberships include the American Society of Neuroradiology and the Radiological Society of North America. Beyond academia, he has published fiction, including the novella A Letter from the Dead and an autobiographical novel From Sunrise to Sunset.

His research and clinical work emphasize congenital brain abnormalities and advanced imaging techniques. He actively contributes to radiology education through mentorship and textbook contributions.
