Dr. Mohammad Rowshan is a Research Fellow at the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications (EE&T) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Communications Technologies) from Monash University (2021), an M.Sc. in Integrated Circuit Design Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) (2016), and a B.Eng. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham (2015). During his doctoral studies, he conducted a six-month research visit at the Telecommunications Circuits Laboratory (TCL) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland.
His research spans Coding and Information Theory, Wireless Communications, Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, and Hardware Architecture Design. He specializes in polar codes and their variants, focusing on code design and decoding algorithms for short codes. He actively encourages collaboration through shared code repositories on GitHub and CodeOcean linked via IEEE Explore publications.
