Prof. Dr. Mohammad Gharaibeh is a faculty member at the Berlin Institute for Islamic Theology, affiliated with Humboldt University of Berlin. His research focuses on Islamic theology, intellectual history, and premodern Muslim societies.
- Regional Expertise: Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia
- Research Emphasis: Wahhabiyya/Salafiyya, hadith studies, religion and politics in Saudi Arabia, interreligious dialogue, Arab historiography, and knowledge production in Muslim societies.
His work explores narrative strategies in biographical dictionaries, scholarly networks, and the socio-political dimensions of Islamic theology. He is available for supervision of new PhD students and contributes to academic discourse on Mamluk-era historiography and textual criticism.
