Mohammad Alam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of Kentucky. He is affiliated with the Center for Appalachian Research in Environmental Sciences (UK-CARES), the Markey Cancer Center, and the Molecular and Cellular Oncology Research Program. His research bridges microbiology, immunology, and neuroscience, focusing on the interplay between gut microbiota and neurodegenerative diseases.
