Dr. Mohammad Al-Amri serves as a Principal Research Fellow (Reader) and Postgraduate Research Program Manager at Cardiff University's School of Healthcare Sciences. Originally from Jordan, he has established himself as a leading researcher in virtual reality applications for rehabilitation and movement analysis, with over 15 years of experience spanning multiple continents from the Middle East to Europe.
His research interests focus on translating virtual reality technology into clinical practice, particularly for movement rehabilitation. Dr. Al-Amri specializes in developing sensor-based portable movement analysis systems that help patients with conditions like knee osteoarthritis and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries.
