Mohammad Abdullah Al Faruque

Mohammad Abdullah Al Faruque is a full professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where he directs the Cyber-Physical Systems Lab and the Samueli School of Engineering Autonomous Systems Initiatives. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the IEEE Technical Committee on Cyber-Physical Systems Early-Career Award (2018) and the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award.

• Education: B.Sc. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), M.Sc. and Ph.D. from RWTH Aachen and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany

His research focuses on Cyber-Physical Systems and Autonomous Systems, with applications in aerospace, automotive, robotics, healthcare, and energy. He has authored over 175 IEEE/ACM publications, holds 12 U.S. patents, and published two books on Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems.
