Mohamad R Askari

Dr Mohamad R Askari is an Associate Professor at the Department of Aerospace and Aircraft Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment, Kingston University. With over 30 years of experience in industry and academia, his expertise spans dynamics of machinery and structures, vibration monitoring, and pedagogical innovations in engineering education. He is a Chartered Engineer and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

His research focuses on rotor dynamics, modal testing, gyroscopic effects, and fault diagnosis in rotating machinery. He has pioneered blended learning initiatives and served as Course Director and Admissions Tutor for Aerospace Engineering programs.

Dr Askari's publications (2011–2013) emphasize vibration analysis, system identification, and engineering software applications for structural health monitoring and safety design in rotating systems.
