About
Moein Rajaei is a Research Fellow in the Department of Biostatistics at Yale School of Public Health and a member of the Townsend Lab. With a PhD from the University of Florida, his work bridges genetics, genomics, and public health data science. His research focuses on mutation dynamics, cancer genomics, and health disparities, particularly in breast and pancreatic cancers.
Recent publications highlight his contributions to evolutionary genetics (2024), single-cell cancer genome analysis (2024), and clinical oncology (2024). Collaborations include Yale-affiliated scientists such as Daniel Zelterman, Jaykumar Thumar, and Townsend Lab members.
His work spans diverse domains: (1) evolutionary genetics using model organisms like Caenorhabditis elegans; (2) cancer genomics for gene discovery in tumor 3D genomes; (3) clinical research in pancreatic cancer treatment; and (4) health equity studies in breast cancer biomarkers among African American women.
