Modawi Fadoul is a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Northampton's Accounting & Finance department. He holds a PhD in Finance from Swansea University (2022), an MSc in Accounting and Finance (2017), and a BA in Business and Management (2014). Prior to his academic role, he worked in the UK banking sector at HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group, focusing on account review and share dealing administration.
His research interests span corporate governance, tax policy, behavioral finance, fintech, and environmental economics. Notable work includes studies on CEO incentives, tax avoidance mechanisms, and green finance. He has presented at conferences such as the Swansea University Research Conference (2021) and the Vietnam Symposium in Banking and Finance (2021).
Modawi is a reviewer for the Journal of Energy Economics and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and sustainable finance. He currently accepts PhD students and maintains industry ties with the banking sector.
