Dr. Mo El-Haj is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Natural Language Processing (NLP) at the College of Engineering & Computer Science, VinUniversity, Hanoi, Vietnam, and holds a visiting role at Lancaster University. He specializes in NLP with a focus on Financial NLP, Arabic NLP, and multilingual systems for under-resourced languages.
Education: PhD in Computer Science (University of Essex, 2012), MSc in Information Systems (University of Jordan, 2008), BSc in Computer Information Systems (University of Jordan, 2005). Awards include the FHEA Fellowship (2021) and the 2016 BBC NewsHack Best Tool award.
