Mitzi Brammer

Mitzi Brammer, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in the Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences department at Saint Louis University's Doisy College of Health Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Arkansas State University.

Her research focuses on student and faculty resilience in higher education, language-literacy relationships in K-12 students, interprofessional practice, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has led numerous grants addressing these areas, including studies on neurodiversity-affirming interventions and inclusive practices within health sciences education.

Brammer has presented internationally on topics such as interprofessional collaboration in dysphagia management, resilience-building strategies for educators, and evidence-based vocabulary instruction. Her work spans academic, clinical, and policy domains, emphasizing interdisciplinary solutions to complex challenges in healthcare and education.
