Mitchell Sullivan is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science in the School of Health at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He holds a PhD and BSc from the University of Queensland. Dr. Sullivan's research focuses on glycogen metabolism in diabetic conditions, neurological disorders, and fetal development. His investigations span diabetic kidney disease, Lafora disease, placental glycogen function, and the structural properties of glycogen in metabolic disorders.
Dr. Sullivan has secured over $1.3 million in research funding and has an H-index of 27 with 65 journal publications. His recent articles focus on glycogen structure-function relationships in diabetes, therapeutic interventions for metabolic disorders, and novel biomarker discovery for diabetic complications.
