Mitchell Cleaver

Mitchell Cleaver is a legal academic and practitioner with affiliations at the University of Oxford and the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He holds a DPhil in Law from the University of Oxford, where his dissertation, The Equitable Lien: Credit, Security, and Priority in English Law and Economy, 1673-1925, explored historical developments in equitable property rights. He previously served as a College Lecturer at Oxford's Corpus Christi College, teaching Trusts, Land Law, Advanced Property, and Trusts. Since 2024, he has been an Adjunct Lecturer at UNSW. Concurrently, he practices as a solicitor at Allens Linklaters in Australia, specializing in tax law (income tax and stamp duty) and commercial matters, with a focus on equity and trusts.
