Misri Patel is a Visiting Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture, holding the Ann Kalla Professorship (2023-25). Previously, she served as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design and Visiting Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from NMIMS BSSA (Mumbai) and a Master of Science in Digital and Material Technologies from Taubman College, University of Michigan.
Her research focuses on material systems, computational design, acoustics, and additive manufacturing. Notable projects include Long Range Glass (R+D Award, 2022) and Kneu-crete (2019-2020 Ballard Fellowship project). She has published in venues like Unfolded, Portico, and Acadia Conference Proceedings, with exhibitions at the Venice Biennale and DigitalFUTURES.
