Miriam Metzger

Miriam Metzger is a Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). She is affiliated with the Center for Information, Technology and Society and the Center for Responsible Machine Learning at UCSB. Her research focuses on understanding how information and communication technologies influence trust, credibility perceptions, and privacy decisions in digital environments. Dr. Metzger earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California in 1997 and has been teaching at UCSB since 1998.
