Miriam Lang

Miriam Lang is an activist scholar and professor of environment and sustainability at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar in Quito, Ecuador.

She holds a doctorate in sociology with research spanning development critiques, systemic alternatives, Buen Vivir, decolonial theory, and feminist sustainability frameworks. Her work critically examines Western development paradigms while advancing intercultural alternatives.

Her editorial contributions include the publication 'Green colonialism' addressing environmental justice in postcolonial contexts.
