About
Academician Mircea Bologa is a renowned scientist in heat and mass transfer intensification under electric/magnetic fields, and cavitational flow hydrodynamics. He founded Moldova's thermo- and electrophysics research school. Currently serves as head of laboratory at the Institute of Applied Physics (IAP) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), where he has worked since 1964. Holds academic rank of Professor since 1976, and became a full member of the ASM in 1993.
Education: Graduated from Moldova State University (1956), completed PhD (1961) and habilitation (1973) at Moscow's Power Engineering Institute. Trained over 50 doctoral students.

Editorial leadership: Served as editor-in-chief of Electronic Processing of Materials since 1979. The journal is republished in English by Allerton Press.
