Miranda Barker is a Senior Lecturer in Education & SEND at Newman University since early 2023, working with the Education and Multi-Professional Practice Team. She teaches on BA Educational Studies, Education and SEND, and Master’s in Education courses. Previously, she held Senior Lecturer roles at Birmingham City University focusing on SEND across BA and PGCE programs. Her career includes 11 years as a primary school teacher, SENCO, and senior leadership, followed by 10 years as a specialist SEND advisor with Warwickshire Local Authority and a Strategic Lead for SEND in a multi-academy trust.
