Mira Hulkkonen

Mira Hulkkonen is a PhD Researcher affiliated with the Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit at the Faculty of Science, University of Oulu. She holds an MSc in Meteorology from the University of Helsinki (2010) and an MA in Science Communication from the University of Oulu (2013).

Her research integrates atmospheric modeling, artificial intelligence, and interdisciplinary climate change mitigation strategies. Key interests include:

• Atmospheric aerosols and dispersion
• Urban system modeling with human behavior analysis
• Climate policy communication
• Renewable energy project development

Mira previously worked at the University of Helsinki's Department of Atmospheric Sciences (2007-2010) and served as a Leading Specialist at Pöyry Finland Oy (2010-2018) before joining her current PhD project funded by the Academy of Finland.
