Mir Yarfitz is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Wake Forest University. He holds a Ph.D. (2012) and M.A. (2007) from UCLA's Department of History, and a B.A. (2000) in International and Comparative Policy Studies from Reed College. His research focuses on Latin American cultural production, social movements, trans studies, and migration patterns. He has conducted Fulbright research in Argentina and worked with migrant labor unions across the U.S.
