Miquel Ribas Carbó

Dr. Miquel Ribas Carbó is a Full Professor in the Department of Plant Physiology at the University of the Balearic Islands since 2011. He holds a PhD in Biology (1993) from the University of Barcelona, completed under Dr. Joseph A. Berry at the Carnegie Institution of Washington and Stanford University. His career includes an Associate Professor position at the University of Navarra and a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship at Duke University.

Teaching: Currently teaches courses on plant-microorganism interactions, primary productivity ecophysiology, and applied plant physiology at both undergraduate (Biology) and postgraduate (Applied Biotechnology Master’s) levels.

Scientific Contributions: Member of the consolidated R&D group "Ecofisiología de las Plantas (PlantEcophys)" and a specialist in respiratory physiology, plant physiology, and isotopic methods.
