Mingoo Seok

Mingoo Seok is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia Engineering, part of Columbia University. He is affiliated with the Sense, Collect and Move Data and Smart Cities centers.

• Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University (2005), M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan (2007, 2011)

His research focuses on extreme energy-efficient circuit and system design for cyber-physical systems, enabling ubiquitous and reliable sensing, computation, and communication. His work includes innovations like the Pico watt voltage reference and the 35pW sensor platform design (Phoenix Processor), emphasizing ultra-low-power solutions for IoT and biomedical applications.
