Mindy Garfinkel

Dr. Mindy Garfinkel is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Program Director of Occupational Therapy at Yeshiva University's Katz School of Science & Health. With over 30 years of clinical experience—20 specializing in pediatric and school-based practice—she is a certified assistive technology professional (ATP). Her expertise spans occupational therapy interventions for children, literacy development, Universal Design for Learning, and assistive technology integration.

Education: Post-professional Doctorate in OT (Quinnipiac University), MA in OT (NYU), and BA in Communications (CUNY). Her research focuses on optimizing school-based occupational therapy services, workload management, and leveraging technology to enhance accessibility. She collaborates with AOTA and RESNA on professional development initiatives, including creating continuing education materials and editorial roles for peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Garfinkel's scholarly output includes work on pediatric feeding disorders, telehealth applications, and collaborative care models. She actively contributes to the field through committee work, webinars, and maintaining a dedicated website for caseload-to-workload resources rooted in her doctoral research.
