Minami Hyodo is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University (FSU). She holds a B.A. in Foreign Language Studies (2019) and an M.A. in Foreign Language Education and Research (Japanese, 2021) from Kansai University, Japan. Currently teaching JPN1120 (Level 1) and JPN2300 (Level 4), she focuses on creating immersive Japanese language and cultural learning experiences through courses and the Japanese Language House program.
Her research interests emphasize Japanese grammar pedagogy, transformative language learning methodologies, and intercultural competence development. Prior to FSU, she taught Japanese at Emory University for three years.
