Dr Mimoza Shabani is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of East London (UEL), affiliated with the Royal Docks School of Business and Law and the Centre for the Study of States, Markets and People (STAMP). She holds a Master's in Business Economics from City University and a PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London. Her research focuses on international banking, offshore financial centers, the Japanese economy, financialisation, and developing economics.
