Millie Schurch

Millie Schurch is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of History of Science and Ideas, Uppsala University, specializing in the intersections between eighteenth- to early nineteenth-century literary form and knowledge production. Her current project, Early Citizen Science, investigates textual and material strategies in Linnaean colonial botany.

• MSt (Oxford) and BA (Cardiff) in English/Related Literature

Research focuses on epistolary culture, female botanists, and colonial collecting practices. Key publications include work on Elizabeth Montagu, Anna Barbauld, and Linnaean taxonomy. She has held editorial roles at Ambix journal and organized international conferences.
