Milena Alvarez Viñas

Milena Alvarez Viñas is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vigo, affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences and the Department of Signal Theory and Communications. She is associated with the Bio2Val research group focused on biorefinery and biomass valorization.

Her research spans interdisciplinary areas including biorefinery technologies, marine biotechnology, and chemical engineering. She specializes in the extraction of biomolecules from red algae for applications in food, cosmetics, and therapeutics.
