Mikwi Cho is an Assistant Professor of Japanese Studies at Earlham College. Their research focuses on migration history, colonialism, and peace studies in East Asia. They hold a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, an M.A. from the University of Alberta, and a B.Sc. from York University. Their work examines migration factors in colonial contexts, particularly the movement of Koreans during Japan's colonization of Korea. Courses taught include Citizenship and Minority Issues in East Asia, Peace and Reconciliation in East Asia, and Modern Japan.
