Air Chief Marshal Sir Mike Wigston is a Visiting Professor at the Freeman Air and Space Institute, part of the School of Security Studies at King's College London. He previously served as Chief of the Air Staff (2019–2023), overseeing Royal Air Force operations during global crises including pandemic response and evacuation missions from Kabul and Sudan. His career spans over three decades in military leadership, including command roles in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar.
