Mike Whitman is a Full Professor of Cybersecurity at Kennesaw State University, affiliated with the Department of Information Systems and Security. He serves as Director of the Center for Cybersecurity Education and holds professional certifications as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
His research focuses on three key streams: (1) governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management in cybersecurity; (2) the convergence of physical security and cybersecurity; and (3) ethical and responsible use of information systems. These areas address critical intersections of policy, technology, and human behavior in modern security frameworks.
