Mike Morgan

Dr. Mike Morgan is a Senior Lecturer in Computing at the University of Chester, affiliated with the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise. Previously, he held teaching roles at Coventry University and Glyndwr University. His research focuses on Combinatorial Optimisation, Heuristics, Mathematical Programming, and Naturally Inspired Computing, with notable contributions to automated educational feedback systems, optical network optimization, and wireless network design. He has collaborated with Tata Steel on logistics optimization software through a KTEG-funded project.

Teaching interests include Programming, Algorithms and Data Structures, Networking, Computer Architecture, and Theory of Computation. He developed the MSc Computer Science (conversion) and MSc Advanced Computer Science programs at the University of Chester.
