Mike Conrad

Mike Conrad is an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies & Music Education at the University of Northern Iowa, where he directs Jazz Band Two and teaches courses in Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Pedagogy, Jazz Methods, Jazz Theory, Jazz Piano, Jazz Composition, and Jazz Arranging. His career spans composition, improvisation, and performance, with global recognition for his work.

Conrad’s compositions have been performed internationally by ensembles such as the Metropole Orkest (Netherlands), the West Point Army Jazz Knights, and at the US Presidential Inauguration (2013). He has collaborated with renowned musicians including Louis Hayes, Alexa Tarantino, and Alex Sipiagin.
