Mike Andres

Dr. Mike Andres is an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, where he leads the Estuarine and Movement Ecology Lab. His research focuses on connectivity between marine, estuarine, and freshwater habitats through diadromous fishes and their parasites. He specializes in fisheries ecology and fish-parasite interactions, particularly in relation to restoration activities.

Research interests include movement ecology of migratory fish species, parasite-host dynamics in aquatic ecosystems, and applications of ecological research to habitat restoration. His work bridges field observations with ecological modeling to understand trophic interactions.
