Mikael Calner

Mikael Calner is a Professor in Lithosphere and Biosphere Science and Head of the Geology Department at Lund University. He serves as a LINXS Fellow and contributes to the GeoArCH working group.

His research focuses on sedimentary geology, sequence stratigraphy, and paleoecology, utilizing fossil sediments and geochemistry to investigate the interplay between global climate change, sea level fluctuations, and biodiversity dynamics, including minor and mass extinctions.
