Mick Donovan is the Pro Vice Chancellor for Partnerships at the University of Worcester, with a career spanning physical education, sports coaching, and academic leadership. After 13 years as a physical education teacher, he transitioned to higher education as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Warwick. At Worcester, he pioneered the internationally recognized Learning Through Sport programme, co-founded the Worcester Wolves Basketball Club, and served as Head of School since 2008, overseeing the development of the University of Worcester Arena and global partnerships.

His research and professional interests focus on Sports Coaching Science, Physical Education, and Performance Analysis, with a unique emphasis on integrating sport into educational frameworks. Mick has delivered keynote lectures worldwide on coach education and sports philosophy. Key projects include hosting seminars with the General Administration of Sport China, co-founding European Basketball Research initiatives, and organizing the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships 2015.
