Michelle Zirkel is a Lecturer and Research Assistant at the Department of English Language Education (TEFL) at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in English/American Studies and Spanish from the University of Würzburg and completed her First State Examination for Secondary School Teaching (English and Spanish) in 2021.
- Research Interests: Virtual Reality in English language education, Critical Environmental Literacy, Inter- and Transcultural Education, Popular Culture in EFL classrooms, Irish Studies, and Pragmatics.
- Projects: PhD project on Virtual Reality for English education and critical environmental literacy; DiSo-SGW project.
