Michelle Scott-Pierce

Michelle Scott-Pierce serves as the Associate Director for Operations and EFNEP Coordinator at Cornell University's Division of Nutritional Sciences within the College of Human Ecology. She oversees operational management, program evaluation, and compliance for EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program) across New York State. Her role includes leading staff training, budget coordination, IRB compliance, and strategic planning to enhance program quality and federal guideline adherence.

Michelle’s work focuses on improving community-based nutrition education through rigorous program reviews, site visits, and multi-state research collaborations. She drives evidence-based practices in public health, emphasizing food security, health promotion, and policy interventions to support underserved populations.

Her research contributions span topics like program evaluation methods, youth and parent nutrition curricula, and database quality improvements. She coordinates with the Regional Data Management team and represents EFNEP at national and state levels, advocating for policies that strengthen nutrition education outreach.
