Michelle Rasmussen

Michelle Rasmussen is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Co-Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Physics at Lebanon Valley College. Her research focuses on bioelectrochemistry, particularly biofuel cells and electrochemical biosensors.

• Biosensor for early Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis via biomarker detection

Publication Trends: Recent work emphasizes modular synthesis of ionophores, P450 enzyme applications, and self-powered biosensors. Earlier studies focus on thylakoid bio-solar cells and alkane oxidation.
