Michelle Milne

Michelle Milne is Associate Professor of Physics at St. Mary's College of Maryland specializing in ultrasound applications and physics education research.

Education: BA Physics/Mathematics (Lawrence University 2004), PhD Physics (Washington University 2010).

Research investigates ultrasound interactions with materials for medical imaging applications like echocardiography, and physics pedagogy in laboratory education. Current thesis research analyzes enamel hypoplasia patterns in archaeological specimens.

Awards include:

• Homer L. Dodge Teaching Award (2019)
• Pandion haliaetus Professorship

Teaches applied physics, electronics, and laboratory courses. Member of American Association of Physics Teachers and served on Committee on Laboratories (2016-2018).
