Dr. Michelle Higgins is a Lecturer of Nursing at Augsburg University since 2016, specializing in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track. Her career spans academic teaching and clinical practice, with prior faculty roles at Ball State University and Concordia University Wisconsin.

Collaboratively, Dr. Higgins co-led immersive educational trips to Guatemala and Sylvan Lake, South Dakota, offering students experiential learning opportunities. She maintains active certifications with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C) and the MN Board of Nursing (APRN, RN).
