Michelle Grattan is a Professorial Fellow at the University of Canberra and one of Australia’s most distinguished political journalists. With over 40 years in the Canberra parliamentary press gallery, she has covered major political events, including as former editor of The Canberra Times and political editor of The Age. Her dual role at the University of Canberra involves teaching, research in politics and political communication, and public commentary.
Her academic work focuses on Australian politics, political communication, and public policy analysis. Recent articles highlight her expertise in
