Michelle Forfa

Michelle Forfa is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Hartford's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions. She has served in this role since 2018.

Her clinical expertise spans adult and aging populations in subacute, long-term care, and home-care settings. Dr. Forfa teaches courses in Communication Skills for Effective Practice, Assistive Technology, and Professional Practice Seminar, while supporting Level I and Level II Fieldwork programs. Her research focuses on non-traditional supervision models and innovative fieldwork site development.

Dr. Forfa is actively involved in professional organizations including the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Academic Fieldwork Coordinator Special Interest Section, the Fieldwork Educator Community of Practice, and holds leadership roles in the Connecticut Occupational Therapy Association and the New England Occupational Therapy Education Council.
