Michelle Everson

Michelle Everson is Professor of Law at Birkbeck Law School, specializing in EU constitutional law, regulatory frameworks, and Brexit impacts. Her research examines the intersection of economic policy, human rights, and institutional design in European governance. Recent work analyzes post-Brexit regulatory challenges and EU health policy legitimacy.

She directs doctoral research on refugee care frameworks and insurance law reform. As ESRC Council member, she shapes UK research policy and mentors early-career scholars across Europe. Her publications include influential analyses of EU agency governance and economic constitutionalism.
