Michelle Craig

Michelle Craig is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. She serves as a member of the CS Education Research Group and has held roles such as Associate Chair. Her primary focus is undergraduate teaching, with past supervision of one PhD student and multiple undergraduate research projects in Computing Education Research.

She has been actively involved in the SIGCSE community for over two decades and contributed to the SIGCSE Board of Directors as a Member at Large. Her accolades include the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), ACM Distinguished Educator (2016), and multiple teaching awards from the University of Toronto and its Arts & Science division.

Her work emphasizes innovative pedagogical strategies and has influenced computer science education at both institutional and national levels. Current efforts center on enhancing undergraduate learning experiences through evidence-based practices.
