Michelle Boakye

Michele Boakye, PhD, MPH, RN is an Assistant Professor at UMass Chan Medical School and T.H. Chan School of Medicine, affiliated with the Population and Quantitative Health Sciences Department. She holds a BS in Nursing from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), an MPH in Public Health from Pennsylvania State University, and a PhD in Nursing from the same institution. Her research focuses on diabetes management, healthcare communication, global health interventions, and community health systems. She has conducted studies on patient needs during diabetes diagnosis, technology-based interventions for chronic disease self-management, and challenges in malaria eradication programs in Kenya.
