Michele Boldrin is a Professor of Economics and the J.G. Hoyt Distinguished University Professor and Chair at Washington University in St. Louis. He co-directs the Center for Dynamic Economics (CEDEC) and has held visiting positions at Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, and other institutions. His research spans economic theory, macroeconomics, and dynamic general equilibrium models.
- Education: PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester (1987), Master of Science in Economics (1985), and magna cum laude graduate of Economics at Universita’ Ca’ Foscari (1982).
Research Interests: Boldrin’s work focuses on Dynamic General Equilibrium models, with applications to economic growth, business cycles, asset pricing, innovation theory, technological progress, labor markets, and intellectual property. He has also explored topics in fertility, international trade, and welfare systems.
