Michel Hartmut has been a Professor at the University of Frankfurt since 1989, specializing in biochemistry and membrane biology. Previously, he served as Director of Molecular Membrane Biology at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics (1987) and led research groups at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (1979-1987). He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wuerzburg (1977), where he also conducted postdoctoral studies.
