Michał Rot

Michał Rot is a habilitated doctor and assistant professor at the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, where he contributes to academic and artistic education. His career bridges performance excellence with scholarly achievements, as evidenced by his international concert schedule and habilitation in arts (2021).

• Graduated with distinction in piano from the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź (2012)
• Studied at Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart and Mannheim, focusing on piano and chamber music

Michał's research and artistic focus centers on piano performance, chamber music collaboration, and vocal lyricism. His work emphasizes the interpretation of classical and contemporary Polish compositions, particularly through partnerships with orchestras and vocalists.

His collaborations span prestigious festivals like Gaude Mater, Heidelberger Kammermusikfestival, and the Polish Radio Chopin Festival. He has performed with orchestras such as the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic and Polish Camerata Chamber Orchestra, and with artists including Olaf Bär, Ulrich Eisenlohr, and cellist Wojciech Fudala in the FudalaRot Duo.
